This is the only known picture of the Johann and Justine (KRUEGER) KRUBECK family. It was taken in the early 1870's. Justine was a widow with two daughters who married Johann, then Johann and Justine had three boys (Emil, Edward and Wilhelm). Wilhelm was the first child to leave Petzewo, Kreis Flatow, Westpruessen for America in the late 1890's. Later, Edward and his family came to America in the early 1900's. Emil and his family stayed in Petzewo. We lost touch with the KRUBECK's in Germany, so we don't know what happened to Justine's two daughters. They also had a daughter, Alwine, who died at the age of two in 1870.
